TECBOND 213 is an economical, general purpose, hot melt adhesive formulated for use to bond, gripper rods to floor boards, ceramics, wood, rigid pvc and polystyrene. It has a medium viscosity and high molten tack and is also used to bond cores for foundries, and porous surfaces such as foams and fabrics.  All bonds should be tested at least 24 hours after assembly at both the high and low temperatures they will be expected to withstand in service.

213/43 is a light brown colour hot melt glue slug / stick suitable for use in 43mm diameter glue guns.   It has a service temperature of -15°C to 75°C.

The adhesive is packed in 10kg boxes.  Each 10kg box contains approximately 170 sticks/slugs:  43 mm long, 43mm diameter.

To use this adhesive you will need a 43mm hot melt glue gun.  The ideal glue gun is the TEC 3400 however the TEC3150, TEC6100 and TEC7100 are also suitable which we are able to supply if needed.

Low & hot melt glues are thermoplastic, polymer based materials in solid form which contain no solvents, VOC’s or water and are non-hazardous, FDA approved and leave no risk of mould or odours in finished product. In use, they are heated, usually to between 130°C & 195°C and applied through a hot melt glue applicator or glue gun molten to one surface of the parts to be glued, when the surfaces are pressed together the hot melt quickly cools to form an almost instant bond. Generally, testing of a bond should not be made until at least 24 hours after the application.

We only recommend the use of the TEC glue applicators as the adhesive performs best in these and we are available to advise you on glue gun choice using the contact details below. A 43mm diameter glue gun running at 195°C is needed to apply this adhesive; not supplied.
