214/43 is a short open time, fast setting, amber, packaging hot melt glue stick suitable for use in 43mm diameter glue guns running at 195°C.   The adhesive is specifically designed for packaging applications for use on, craft card and paper where a rapid bond is needed at a cost effective price.  It has a service temperature of -10°C to 85°C.  We do not recommend this adhesive for use on varnished and coated board, we have other grades more suited to this which will give a superior bond.   The adhesive is packed in 2x10kg and 1x5kg boxes.  Each 10kg box contains approximately 170 sticks:  43mm long, 43mm diameter.

Hot melt glues are thermoplastic, polymer based materials in solid form which contain no solvents, VOC’s or water and are non-hazardous, FDA approved and leave no risk of mould or odours in finished product. In use, they are heated, usually to 195°C and applied through a hot melt glue applicator or glue gun molten to one surface of the parts to be glued, when the surfaces are pressed together the hot melt quickly cools to form an almost instant bond. Generally, testing of a bond should not be made until at least 24 hours after the application.

We only recommend the use of the TECBOND glue sticks in TEC applicators as the adhesive performs best in these and we are available to advise you on glue gun choice using the contact details below. Suitable applicators foir use with this adhesive include the TEC3150, TEC3200, TEC6100 & TEC7100 running at 195°C, available separately (not supplied).
